No interval-builder UI to fight with. Type it, paste it, say it out loud, or share a link to it — Rounds turns plain English into a running countdown timer, right on your iPhone.
Free during the beta · iPhone & iPad · Requires TestFlight
Every other interval timer makes you build the workout by hand — tap in rounds, tap in rest, tap in reps. Rounds skips that entirely.
Type it, paste a WOD you copied from somewhere, say it out loud, paste a link to a workout page, or share straight to Rounds from Safari.
Rounds parses it into a real structured plan — see exactly what it understood, and adjust the type, rounds, cap, or steps before you start if anything's off.
A big, clear countdown wedge with a per-step warning beep, haptics, and a manual stopwatch mode for athlete-paced WODs. Tap to start, pause, or resume.
"EMOM 12 today — every minute on the minute. Odd minutes, 15 wall balls. Even minutes, 12 calories on the rower."
Every format below is understood the same way — described in plain language, not built with a form.
Every minute on the minute — including alternating content across odd/even rounds.
As many rounds as possible in a capped window, with round counting.
20 seconds on, 10 seconds off, repeated for the classic 8-round protocol.
"5 rounds for time" style WODs — a fixed circuit, timed by the athlete.
21-15-9 and friends — descending or ascending rep schemes across movements.
Multi-part WODs — a buy-in, a main block of rounds, and a cash-out, all in one plan.
Generic work/rest circuits — "40 on, 20 off, 3 rounds through" style training.
Just need a plain timer? "10 minute countdown" works too — no workout required.
Photo of a gym whiteboard or a screenshot of a WOD? Rounds reads the text right off the image and drops it in.
Found a WOD on a blog or a gym's site? Paste the URL and Rounds pulls out just the workout, not the page furniture.
Follow GoRuck, CrossFit Panda, or any gym's feed — new workouts show up ready to tap and generate, newest first.
Share a workout page straight from Safari or any other app — it lands ready to configure.
See the parsed plan before you commit — block type, rounds, cap, and every step can be adjusted.
Every workout you run is saved. Tap a past entry to load it again — no re-typing the same EMOM twice.
A countdown tick for the final 10 seconds of any step, plus distinct start/finish tones and vibration.
Real screenshots from the app are on the way — for now, here's where they'll go.
Rounds uses Apple's on-device intelligence to understand your workout, with a deterministic fallback parser when that's unavailable — your workout text doesn't need to leave your phone to become a timer.
It's early, but public beta invites are open — join through Apple's TestFlight app and you're in.
